New record ’About The Hardest Nut To Crack’ contains twelve brilliant tracks, all mixed/recorded/written and arranged from scratch over just eight days at Strawberry Studios in the spring of 2023.
It’s a hell of a statement!
While being out on their 2022 autumn run, the members decided to put down a new record early the following year. And considering that their latest release ’Slap Bang Blue Rendezvous’ came across as a concept album of sorts, a heavily produced and stylized double-LP, this time around the group felt like doing just the opposite, making this a standard length back to basics analog and acoustic live recording together with their friends at the fabulous Strawberry Studios, and with as little preparation as possible. But of course with the energy levels as well as the VU-meters peaking.
Since the very start over 30 years ago, DIAMOND DOGS have passionately declared their love for Rod Stewart and The Faces romantic adventures in the 70’s. And on the new record you have it all, the voice, the heavy B3 organ, hard riffs and loose solos, the jamming bar piano, the mandolins and the fiddles, and original songs that meet all your emotions!
